Brock USA was born out of two successful medical technology companies—both of which were based around a patented material technology. Brock was founded in 1998 in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, with the vision of creating a new class of porous energy managing materials that would apply to protective athletic equipment, solving the issue of heat build-up and the dissipation of moisture from the body. Four years, two factories and several generations of product later, Brock's patented family of Composite materials have been successfully engineered to meet the requirements of the building and construction industry, artificial playing surfaces, geocomposites, and a wide variety of other uses. Unique characteristics of this new class of material make it highly applicable in many diverse markets.

Brock Foam is currently manufactured at two strategic locations. North American manufacturing occurs through a joint venture with JSPI, the world’s largest manufacturer of expanded polypropylene. For efficient supply to the Asian markets, we formed Brock HKS, a manufacturing joint venture between Brock USA and Hong Kong Sports, a major supplier of high performance foams and helmet liner technologies in China. Brock USA’s European manufacturing will be in place in 2005.
